Coaching a sports team is an honour itself. In addition to this, it is also an excellent option for a career in sports in India. This option has now assumed a greater significance with more number of schools and parents realizing the importance of physical activity in daily routine. Getting sports enthusiasts ready for National Games is itself a job of responsibility. This job requires discipline, dedication for his/her nation, patience and strong willpower. By choosing Coaching as a career in sports, one can contribute something to the sports community of India. Anyone can become a sports coach as qualification wise it's not a challenge. Coaches should be unbiased, disciplined, strong decision making power and dedicated. Sports coaches have the miraculous powers to turn coal to diamond. They should be enthusiastic to boost aspirants morally. They should have good analytical skills, great organizational skills, great stamina and leadership quality.
Sports coaches are required in schools, colleges and a sports academy. In sports academies, coaches grill sports enthusiasts to groom them and make them best out of the rest. Coaching in India is a prestigious job. This job doesn't come with a 9-5 schedule. It requires endless efforts and exhaustive strategical planning.

Many parents prefer educational institutes that offer their children a wide range of activities like swimming, horse riding, yoga and other sports.
The salary of a Sports coach vary. The salary varies from sports to sports and the number of years of experience. On an average, they may get 2.4LPA to 3LPA. But for professional coach of a team, there is no limit. Coaches of national teams draw more than Lakh salary in a month. It all depends on your potential and willingness to pursue it as a career and how far you want to take it.
