Ravindra Jadeja’s Comical Run Out
Indian
all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, on the the second day of the first Test
against West Indies, who was fielding on mid-wicket, jogged all the way
towards the bowlers end and waited for the last moment to break the
stumps to run Shimron Hetmyer out.
The incident took place in Ravichandran Ashwin’s over when a massive mix-up in the middle between Hetmyer and Sunil Ambris saw both the batsmen end up at the same end.
While skipper Virat Kohli was visibly unimpressed by the entire episode, Jadeja explained the entire situation in the post-day press conference on Friday.

““I saw both batsmen were at the same end and I did not think that
Hetmyer would start running in towards the other end in such hot
conditions. I was relaxed and so thought I will walk to take the bails
off. His effort (run) was good,” added Jadeja, who laughed off the
incident.
